Just purchased a Belkin ADSL Modem and router combined as I am "tired of
wired".

Never used ADSL but I will be connecting to fireflyuk.net.

Anyone got any good advice especially about locking it down. I must admit I
have "borrowed" other networks in the Slough area with my laptop for e-mail
only! but I do not want to have my "flies open" as well.

TIA

With regards
Paul M. Sargent

I suggest you also ask in uk.telecom.broadband and uk.comp.home-networking

Also, you may want to keep an eye on
http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist...oard=dslrouter

However, assuming you have the Belkin 7630 - make sure you go to Belkin's
web site and update the firmware on the device - available from
http://makeashorterlink.com/?Z11321147

Otherwise, you will have problems browsing some sites.

Regards
Sunil
