Can I take my Netgear ADSL router to Thailand for use on their ADSL system?

ASAIK my modem is bog standard - an Aztech DSL305EU but don't forget the
wall socket for a telephone in Thailand is not the same as the UK - it is
the universal thingie sort of like an RJ45. Someone will correct me soon!

Incidentally 1 meg connection is about the best you can get under normal
situations so don't expect Taiwan figures.

Many thanks for the two posts. I think that the 'EU' suffix on your
router/modem might be an indication that it's an E.U. supported product and
there are a few posts on the Internet from UK users with that model.

Hopefully I'll be ok - it's just that my router here works well for what I
need - I don't really want to use a cheap and nasty one.

Cheers!

Bring it to Thailand and try - you can buy router's here, similar price if
not a tad cheaper although the range is a little more limited.
