*ugh* I'm stumped.

I've got two systems running WinXP Home, each with a Linksys Wireless-G USB
Network Adapter which are working.

What I'm trying to do is share files between the two. I've got the Windows
Firewall turned off on both systems (verified a number of times) and no other
firewall software.

The Linksys software confirms that there is an ad-hoc network set up and
each computer is connected to it.

When I go to My Network Places on each system, it sees itself, but not the
other.

I spent two hours on the phone with the computer manufacturer's on-call tech
support and they thought that one of the Network Adapters might be bad so I
replaced the one thought to be bad.

Any assistance is appreciated.

File (and printer, if needed) sharing is enabled on both machines? Are you
using the same workgroup name on both machines?

Yep. I should have mentioned that in the first message.

The tech rep from the computer manufacturer made sure of that. He told me
that he just couldn't see why there was a problem with this because,
according to him, everything was set correctly. It was suggested that rather
than using an ad hoc setup, I just get a wireless router and do it that way.
I'm going to give that a shot today.
