Hi,

I need some advice re. my home network. I am having a loft conversion built
and want to have 2-3 points where computers can plug into the internet
simultaneously. I currently have a router (Netgear FM114P). Do I need to
run seperate connections to each point from the router or is there a way of
doing it in a loop, i.e. in series?

Secondly, due to the increased size of the house, certain areas are out of
range of the WLAN. Is there any way of boosting the signal or attaching a
second router (a router from a router?),

Any help appreciated,

Regards

David

Not really, you want to run a cat5e cable from each point back to the
router.

You could add a wireless access point. Could you not just move the
router to a more central position?

You could add a hub or a switch. Run one cable from your router to the
uplink port of the hub, then plug your other devices into the hub.
