I have a dell server on my home network. i have two internet connections one
cable which uses dynamic ip and the other dsl that uses pppoe. for the cable
i use a linksys router and the other i use a d-link router for the dsl
connection. I have to because i use one for online gaming and the other for
just browsing. I have 2 desktops and on laptop connected to dsl line and the
one desktop connected to both well now i have a server in the mix a dell
poweredge. what i have is 2 nics and i want to be able to have the server
use both of the connections at the same time so when i need to browse from
one lan to other i dont need to disable the connection that i want everytime.
how do i acclomplish this ??

In most cases, that doesn't work. You do have some options. This may help,

Two gateways for redundancy
To make the Internet access redundancy, you may have some options....

I would reccomend using ahardware based evice for this
Example
http://www.firebrick.co.uk/faq-bonding.html#wanlanswap

This device can aggragate all the systems onto one big pipe.

Then you can use traffic shaping to allocate parts of the total combined
bandwidth to diffrent services.
Shaping Feature (optional)
a.. Allows different types of traffic to be allocated different bandwidth
and priority
b.. Ensure high priority traffic (e.g. Voice-Over-IP) always has
sufficient bandwidth and minimum latency
c.. Ensure low priority traffic (e.g. email) does not affect time-critical
services
d.. Speed lanes define min/max bandwidth, and queue-jumping priority
e.. Shaping rules identify traffic (like filter rules) and choose relevant
speed lane
f.. Master speed lanes ensure aggregate traffic does not fill link, for
minimum latency
g.. Fast Priority causes all traffic in specified lane to jump queue in
master lane
h.. Fast ACK allows TCP ACKs (no payload) to jump queue, for faster
browsing
i.. Fast QOS allows priority service type (TOS) to jump queue
j.. Bandwidth trade-off between speed lanes if required
k.. Usage is metered for each speed lane, useful for monitoring (available
by SNMP with Reporting Feature)
l.. Useful for selling bandwidth to tenants in shared or managed offices

Its a much cleaner network design.
