tuning TCP on windows 2003

Is there some rededit values that needs to be changhed from the default on
windows 2003 for file sharing to be faster? I am getting complaints for
users that when clicking on a network share it takes like 10-20seconds to
bring up the share drive.

Why? I have checked ip settings, WINS, DNS and all seems to be fine as far
as browsing.

I am having the same problem and is still looking for a solution.

when I pinged from my windows 2003 to another machine in the intranet,
the ping time was over 10ms which is un-acceptable.
