My customer has a W2K3 TS server. Users who conect to the
TS system cannot load thier local printer. The local
print resources are shared and a NET VIEW of the system
shows the printer shared out. In the TS config I have
cheched the checkbox for the local printer resource. This
is a Windows XP/SP1 system with a USB connected Lexmark
6100 multifunction printer. Any clues would be
appreciated.

I suggest trying a different printer. I had the same
problem with an HP All-In-One and it turned out that the
printer just WOULD NOT WORK with TS. I tried pretty much
everything. If you want to try some things with that
printer though, you can manually add the printer driver to
the server. Go to Printers and Faxes, click on File,
Server Properties, then open the Drivers tab. You might
want to check some other stuff while you're in there such
as the ports configuration, and the stuff under the
Advanced tab. The TS Ports are labeled TS001, TS002, etc.

You might not be able to redirect a network printer. See:

However, see also:

If there is no native or compatible Lexmark driver in W2k3, do not waste the
time and replace the printer on anything more traditional.
