Trying to setup a basic VPN server

Hello,

I need to connect to my PC at work (running Windows Server 2003)
via a VPN connection. I'm having difficulty setting up a basic
VPN server. Trying to accomplish the same feat on a Windows XP
system is pretty straightforward: just step through the New
Connection wizard in "Network Connections". I've done this on
my home PC (running XP) and I can easily access it from work.
However, when I go through the wizard on the Server 2003 system
I can't connect from home.

Is there a way to setup a simple VPN server on Windows Server
2003 without having to go through Routing and Remote Service?
(Similar to Windows XP.)

Thank you for any help.

- Mike

You can setup the VPN in W2K3 in a similar way as in XP. However, if you use
incoming connections you will be able to make just one client connection of
each type.
So, using RRAS you can configure a better server which can accept many
client connections. See if these links help. Let me know what specific
issues you have.

You'd better use RRAS, it isn't that hard and it works fine.
