I haven't done three at once but with two I can tell you
that the subnet mask must be the same for both computers
which tells me that all three should use the same subnet
mask..If not, set up manually in windows xp or do
a "repair"
in your Lan Connection properties in XP while all three
computers are on and connected and reboot the xp
computer..use ipconfig at a command prompt under
accesssories in Xp to see your network ip configuration
and for windows 98 use the command at the run command box
winipcfg. I KNOW it can be done: it always goes back to
the subnet mask being instead of 255.255.255.0 it's
255.255.0.0 for all computers or visa versa. In any event
the numbers must match, or NO network..also give the
computer(s) a chance to configure themselves after
boot..allow 5 minutes to be sure....
