Trusting 2 Domains

I am new to VPNs / Domain trusts.

I have established a VPN between two 2003 domains using VPN routers at both
ends.

I can transfer files back and forth, as long as I type in
//IP_Address/Share. File sharing by name does not work.

I attempted to setup domain trusts on the servers, but keep getting an error
saying that the Domain Name I entered (the domain name on the other end of
the VPN tunnel), cannot be contacted.

Any suggestions on what I need to do? Does it have something to do with
NetBIOS traffic going across the VPN? My router has an option for this.

Thanks
P

What is your DNS configurations for both servers? Make sure that the
DNS is configured for both servers and that each server has it's own IP
for the primary DNS server. The secondary DNS server should be the IP
of the other server.
