Trust between 2 2003 domains

Hi

I am having a bit of a problem seting up trusts between our main office a
our satellite offices.

I have VPN working between our offices and because domains do not use DNS
they still use a LMHOSTS file I have added entries to the LM HOST file to get
connectivity.

I ran the following command on 1 of our satellite DC's and it completed
without any errors
"netdom trust LONDON /uo:username /upassword /d:ABERDEEN /ud:username
/pdassword /add /verbose /twoway"

Within AD Domains and trusts the Trusted domains show up in both sites, but
when I go to AD Computers and users to add the Domain users from Aberdeen
into USERS on the London domain and vice versa although I can see the domain
it cannot find any users or groups from the trusted domain with an error
saying that the Server is not operational.

I have tested connectivity and I can ping the corresponding DC's from each
other.

Anyone any ideas

Active Directory uses DNS to find DCs. Can the London server access the
DNS server in Aberdeen and vice versa? With two sites linked by a point to
point I like to see each DNS server acting as a secondary for the other (so
that either site can resolve DNS queries locally, including the special AD
entries in DNS).
