I have a lan with 20+ computers on it. They all have Static IPs. I need
to add a WAP to the LAN for the Laptops that are around. The subnet we
are in is 192.168.1.0 - 255. So I use 192.168.1.1-150 for static. I want
to add a WAP Device to server via DHCP 192.168.1.151-171 for the few
laptops that are around. I have a Linksys WRT54G v5 but I don't know if
it will do that. I cant seem to figure out how.
So thats why I am here.
Please advise.
Cheers

A pure WAP device doesn't have a DHCP server.

You can use the DHCP server in the Linksys WRT54G v5, but you should
wire it as a WAP, not a router; i.e., connect to the wired LAN with a
LAN port, not the WAN port.
