Troubles with DHCP when using wireless access

Hi all,

I have a network based on Windows 2003 Server. The network is
domain-based, and consists of a multihomed Domain Controller, which
also functions as a router and DHCP server. The DC contains 2 NICs,
one with the IP 192.168.0.100 and connecting to a subnet with IPs in
the 192.168.0.xxx range, the other with the IP 192.168.1.10 and
connecting to a subnet with IPs in the 192.168.1.xxx range.

On both subnets there are a couple of hosts.

On the 192.168.1.xxx subnet there is a wireless router/access point,
which also contains a hub.

When I connect a client PC to this router using the hub, everything
works fine; I can ping all PCs on both subnets, and the newly added
client receives an IP in the range 192.168.1.xxx via the DHCP service
on the domain controller.

However, when I connect through the wireless connection, the client
does _not_ receive any IP address from the DHCP server as it is
supposed to do. After a while, it defaults to an APIPA IP address
instead.

I have tried practically everything, but with no luck.

Is there anybody who can help?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
L. Hummel, Denmark

You need to configure BOOTP/(or DHCP) client on the router giving the
IP Helper (or DHCP server) address as 192.168.1.10
