Trouble with Mac behind Linux Firewall

For a colleague I setup a linux firewall for their home PPPOE DSL
connection. The firewall is just a PC with 2 NICs, and some home
grown firewall scripts. The DSL connection uses PPPOE. Behind the
firewall, he uses linux and windows machines without any trouble
(after a little MTU tweaking). But he just purchased an iBook, which
can see *most* of the internet. It cannot go to netscape.net or
apple.com though. Strange, because the linux and windows machines
can. He needs to be able to access these sites from the iBook. Any
ideas? If you need more information, let me know.

Thanks,
Ken
