Triuble with accessing Wireless point...

I am having trouble, as my comp's USB adapter doesn't seem to wanna
connect to any Access point. Also, Alot of progs are saying stuff like
"TCP/IP Protocol is not installed properly" or "TCP/IP not found." Can
Anyone help me out here?
