Probably OT, but at the Livermore flea market Sunday, somebody was
dumping some Trimble gear that use blue tooth as an interface. Once of
the repair tickets complained the unit only had a mile range. [Way
beyond what I ever thought was allowed with blue tooth.]I didn't bother
to write down the product number. I poked around the trimble website
and didn't see a similar device. The units I saw reminded me of the top
of a parking meter, i.e. half round, and I think it plugged into
something else. Bay Area locals may see these appear at the DeAnza flea
market on Saturday.
