Mine was less than two weeks and would possibly have been sooner as I
was away for a few days when the exchange was enabled.

Roughly 2-3 months from trigger level being reached. You set get your
Exchanged Enabled date in a week or so

About 4 months at the moment - certainly unlikely to be this side of
Christmas.

NW England - 7th January
Wales - 7th January
West Midlands - 7th January
East Midlands - 7th January

13th August, Seaton Delaval exchange, Northumberland. Or have I
misread super speed surfing to mean 500Kb/s which it is compared
to 56K.

Are you sure it did not hit the trigger level earlier? For example
Prudhoe hit the trigger level in June, but was not enabled till
3rd September, and Alnwick was similar and enabled 20th August.

True, we reached the trigger level (I think) when I was on holiday in August
and our exchange isn't going to be enable until the 17th December.

That will teach me to read properly before posting. Yes trigger level
was reached in IIRC July but I can't find the notification I received.
But as the enabling seemed to follow quite quickly I wondered if the
work was already in hand as we had been stuck with a high required
trigger level number only needing a few more people to register for
quite some time.

For the purposes of an example:

Bridgnorth, Shropshire, hits trigger mid Feb 2003, I was up and running by
20th May 2003.

Check out the news items on ADSLGuide.org.uk, as they regularly post the
Ready For Service dates of newly triggered exchanges. Add on 5-7 days after
the RFS date to get an idea.

James
