They will issue a date (known as the RFS date) when the work will be
finished and the exchange enabled

Normally RFS dates are issued 2/4 weeks after the "trigger" date and are
about 3/4onths from the orignal "trigger date" but can take longer

As soon as an RFS date has been announced you can place an order with an
ISP.

Regards
Sunil

You could try looking at this BT site:
http://62.172.198.79/broadband1/index.asp. You can see the date on which
your exchange is due to have ADSL activated by selecting your area at
http://62.172.198.79/broadband1/where_i_live/index.asp

Sorry to break the news, but there is a gap (a void?) between reaching
trigger level and BT posting RFS dates, during which no information is
posted.

Someone else has posted that this is currently up to 5 weeks.

JohnK (also waiting for RFS, and given the latest RFS's posted
yesterday, that could be a further 8-12 weeks!)
