I am affraid that the cell network is not an option because the Laptop
is mounted on a plane (exacly an Autogyro) and we are trying to make i
fly at an average altitude of 330 feet.
In most areas (here too), at this altitude it will be flying on th
pilot polution zone where is not possible to establish a stable cel
connection. Other reason is that it is possible tha there is no cel
coverage on the area where we are trying to use it (open country)
Please, send me more comments. and don´t mind about the cost. This i
a security project where costs are not the primary issue
This is an exiting project.
For those who may be intrested in helping me finding the bes
connection option, here are some datails:
this is an autogyro flying at an average alt of 330ft moving at a
average speed of 65miles
I am conncected to to the computer via Packet radio for controllin
pourposes (receiving GPS location, giroscope info, etc. and sendin
command to make it fly)
Packet radio is the most stable long distance OTA connection I found
Packet has 2 problems: Low bandwith and power comsumption.
At first, the autogyro was thougt to transport mail and medicine to no
easy accesibles open country areas, but now, we want to make ir go to
place and send video from there. At this point is where we need t
replace or complement the packet radio with other option.
