I was discussing my wireless broadcast fun recently via email with a
buddy who lives a few hundred miles away and works for our Highways

That sounds like a different approach. We have just started using
some Freewave 900MHz modems (non-license)at some of our radio sites to
get a webcam signal from a remote roadside in Pine Pass in a 50km hop
to an internet port in MacKenzie. The tests are working great, but
our video refresh is down to about a picture every 30-40 seconds. The
clairity is pretty good.

Question: Generally.... do you think the long time lag between video
images is due to the large file size... and/or possible a CODEC issue?
Nick.
