Toshiba WiFi Mini-PCI Compatability ?

I have a Toshiba Satellite 2455-S305 laptop. It is "wifi-ready",
according to toshiba, it even has a wifi on/off switch on the left
side of the case.

the company says that only their Atheros mini-pci card is useable in
the laptop. However, I found a really good deal on a Dell Truemobile
1300 Mini pci 802.11 b/g on Ebay. Neither Toshiba nor Dell comment on
whether the card is compatable with my laptop.

Anyone try this before? Or try something similar? Or have any info
on this?

Though I did not try it, I am pretty confident that this would work fine.

Intel sells his bundle centrino with Intel WIFI cards. This makes Atheros
pretty angry (and they keep claimingthat Atheros chips work perfectly with
Intel Pentium-M processor), they are trying the same kind of marketing
pressure to impose their own cards with Toshiba laptops ! This sounds much
more like a marketing than a technical issue.
