Hi,

I have a Toshiba Tecra S1 with build in wifi adapter.
Tried to get it work in combination with a D-Link DI-614+
access point. I can see in the logfile of the D-Link DI-614+
that the PC connects, however I keep getting the message
connection failed on the Toshiba.

DHCP server on the D-Link DI-614+ is on. Has anyone
an idea how to get this working?

Thanks,

Theo

Is WEP enabled on one and not the other?

Try to disable the 22/44 Mb settings, running the router at ordinary 802.11b
standard. Have experienced the same with a SMC 22 Mb router and an USB Cnet
card supporting only standard 802.11b specs.

Would you know by change how to disable this? I have gone
through all the menus but couldn't find any setting that would
allow me to alter the speed settings/standard.

Thanks,

Theo

....

You'll find it under Advanced - Performance

- Disable 4x mode.
- Set Basic rates to 1-2-5.5-11 (Mbps)
- Set TX rates to 1-2-5.5-11 (Mbps)

Ok, major goofup made!! :-( Under advanced setup for
the wireless adaptor there's this radio button to switch
the radio on....

Strange thing remains that although the radio was off,
I could see the DHCP request in the logger on the
D-Link.

Thanks anyway to all that tried to help out.

Theo (who feels like a complete idiot att)
