I don't really mean to sound rude, but wouldn't a data center
administrator have better questions to ask? Or at least provide
better details for the ones they do ask?
For example, "How many AD you suggest to assign?" How many do you
have now? How many do you think you need and why? Do you understand
the implications of AD? Do you realize that Active Directory isn't
quantifiable as in "Oh, for those 3,000 sites you need 19 Active
Directories..."? Do you understand that we really don't even know
what you're asking with that, since it could mean zones, separate
trees, forests, etc.?
Same for how many ISA. 3,000 sites that have no more than three
connections to each in a month needs a much different setup of ISA
systems than 3,000 sites each doing a half million connections a day.
Capacity planning for every data center I've been involved with has
been an ongoing process, not a quick question in a newsgroup.
