TopCom PCI 111

I have a strange problem with my TopCom PCI111 wifi card:

When the computer ( XP sp1 HP Pavillion 3.2 Ghz) is shut down properly and
the 220v ac plug is pulled from the ac outlet for maintenance, its almost
impossible to get the TopCom card up and running again!

When the card finally wakes, it works perfectly.

Preamble= auto, Power save = always on, Encryption = WeP, Latest driver
installed, have tried with earlier drivers.
