Tiscali off for a period on Monday?

Our access started to become flakey on Sunday, then on Monday we could
not even get any of our modems to connect. The phone was still working,
so on Monday evening we rang Tiscali (Talk-Talk) only to be advised the
entire UK was off.

Same story From Tiscali Wednesday.

Come Thursday evening (last night), we still had no access, so rang
Tiscali again and after getting rather stroppy with their Indian
support and his script, we eventually got a proper technician and
within a minute we were back on-line.

Q. Was it off throughout the UK or not - how long was it off for?

To contrast your tale of using a shit provider woe ...

About 16:15 today my Zen connection stopped working
I rang a few minutes later but couldn't get an answer.

At 17:00 all back to normal.

Work it out for yourself.

Our connection (emphasis on the our), has been good pretty much all of
the time we have been with Tiscali and now TT. This is the first time
we have suffered a complete loss of service for several years.

I concur.

I had a brief dropout of about 10 mins at ca. 0430 on Friday morning.
But when the service came back my SNR had increased by 2dB. Either the
engineers moved me to another line card or they replaced a card.
