Hi,
My neighbour can't get on line with his Tiscali broadband through a
Sagem USB Modem. The connection keeps cycling between:
....Connecting 4 seconds, Connected 12 seconds, Disconnected 4
seconds...
Round and round it goes like this interminably. Please can anyone tell
me if this is a known problem with a remedy? My neighbours daughter has
been dowloading and installing a lot of stuff from the Internet. Some
of it looks a bit suspect, so the problem may stem from this activity.
TIA
Regards,
Mike

Is the ADSL light on the Segem flashing or steady when this is happening?

Steady, I think. I can't make sure just now because the owner lost his
nerve and jumped on a boat to elsewhere. Back on Monday. :-)

Mike

I don't suppose you have acces to a router so the line / link can be shown to
work reliably and anything else is down to the PC/ software/ USB (spit! :-)

Don't waste your time. Bin the modem and buy a proper one. I have a drawer
full of these modems all from Tiscali and they do not work.

Quite possibly so but still giving the modem the benefit up to now.

Mike
