Three Deep Failure?

Have a three (3) computer wireless network. From habit I have nested
folders. IE: My Docs/My Received Files/Folder(by program or type)/Program
Folder/Programs. Just recently I noticed I can only get about two layers
deep (My Docs/My Received Files) before I encounter a 'not responding' error.
Thoughts?

PS: No major system changes that I'm aware of.
