Open IBM Access Connections, Pull down Wireless Network, open Switch
Wireless Location Profiles Automatically, and unselect Enable Automatic
Wireless Location Profile Switching. This toggle defeats the built in
feature which upon loss of signal with a wireless station turns the laptop
radio off. My laptop radio now stays on all the time. And when I return to
my home immediately picks up my wireless AP.
