I have an old networked system which uses thinex cables BNC connectors. I
have to replace one computer and would like to know if there is an adapter
or converter for thinex to cat5e

Yeah, there are still media converters like that still available for sale. I
actually discovered one while cleaning up my office (which tells you how long
that was waiting to happen ;-) and tossed it.

Google this string: 'thinnet network media converter'
then take your pick of manufacturers and retailers...
