What is the information that is stored in all these files under the
directory "/sys/class/net/eth1/wireless"? What is the nature of these files?

For example, when I read the noise level:
# cat /sys/class/net/eth1/wireless/noise
where does this noise value come from? How often and by whom this value is
updated?

Is there anything common between the values (e.g. noise, signal level) that
I read from the "/sys/class/net/eth1/wireless" files and the values that I
read from the file "/proc/net/wireless"?

Thanks a million!

See http://www.win.tue.nl/~aeb/linux/lk/lk-12.html

From the NIC driver.

It depends by the driver.

They are supposed to be the same, just showed in different way.

/sys is a pseudo file system in the kernel, like /proc.
