There's a bug BEHIND my LCD monitor!

The weirdest thing just happened. I'm watching my screen and theres a
little bug of some sort walking across it so I go to brush it away but
the bug is actually behind the monitor surface!

It's wandering about and I can't seem to get rid of it! How is this
possible? Is the monitor screen not sealed?

It's really annoying me now!

Very common in summer - it looks like a tiny black speck wriggling
around, right? My palmtop got a few of those once.

Unfortunately not.

Indeed - and they're buggers [apologies] to get rid of. Whatever you
do, don't be tempted to squish it. You'll either break the glass of the
screen or just kill it and be forever more stuck with a dead black bug
in the middle of your screen.

The prevailing theory is that they're attracted to the light and heat -
so try leaving it off for a day or two.

May not be quiet true reference not being sealed.
Lens for cameras have the elements sealed with Canadian balsam, Its not
unknown for micro bugs to appear inside and the same with the prisms in
SLR's The exist in the balsam and some times hatch out.
Maybe the use the same stuff to seal the Lcd's and glass cover

Yes! That's it! Very thin and about 3mm long. At first I thought I'd got
a virus or some spyware or something but it's definitely alive!

Can't see it tonight, maybe it's bug-gerred off!
