is there a way to access the content on a PC that is connected

I am running a wireless and wired network,
I need to get files off of my laptop (which is connected wireless) onto my
desk topp that is (connected by cat5 cable)
both are connected to the same router. lynksys WRT54G

I really don't want to loose all the data on the laptop.
please help.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.

Hi - try the copy and paste command - if the network exists then you should be able to do it.
