I would like to know of a peice of network equipment that
has a wireless uplink, that you can plug a computer or
router into.

Thanks for your reply,

This is what I learned. It seems ridiculous that MS
doesn't sell a product like this for PC s.

Quote from MS tech support...

However you do have an option to go wirelessly with the
help of MN740 (Xbox wireless adapter).
In order to configure this adapter, you need to use an
Xbox, since the adapter by default is set in Adhoc mode
and it has to reconfigured to infrastructure mode to use
it in the router environment.

You could get the aid of your vendor to configure the
adapter, if possible

There is a generic adapter similar to the MN740 that is
being sold for the PS2 (it is not from Sony however) and
that can be configured by a PC. I believe it's sold at
RadioShack or Compusa.

Otherwise, there are a series of non-MS routers that can
work as wireless bridge (e.g. Buffalo)
