Trying to set up a Buffalo WBR2-G54S as a repeater. Having changed the
status of the antenna to receive, (and logged on to my network) I now cant
get it to transmit anything. Has anyone managed to do this with a Buffalo
and are you supposed to do anything other than designate it as a repeater
and enter the primary router's MAC address?

No one on the DD-WRT forum seemed to know this and I cant find any
instructions anywhere. The screens are full of arcane settings and it
seems the designers of the firmware don't like it if you ask questions there
which show that you don't understand what they do!

(Someone said that the Buffalo has two antennae in it so I presume I will be
able to use it to transmit a WIRELESS signal once it is set up)

With the Netgear I had to download new firmware to use it as a repeater.
You might find that yours is the same.
