Thai Instant Messaging?

Hi:

I am wondering if there are any good instant messaging clients to use
with Thai language?

Thai is strange because it has tone marks above and below the
characters. My wife has tried compiling Gaim and succeeded, but she
can't get it to work with Thai, so far.

Before I spend a lot of time on her machine to fuss with it, I'd like to
know if there is a client that anyone has tried and knows it works.

Thanks.
