I their a way of testing a server intended as a gateway whilst it is
standalone / detached from the network? I want to simply check if
routing works:
{non existant-LAN}[ eth0] -> [eth1]{ADSL ROUTER / INTERNET}

I want a packet to travel into eth0 and out of eth1, and some sort of
result to be displayed on stdout. I am guessing nmap need be used..
(I've probably underestimated ping)
