Terminal Server Slow!!!

Hi guys,

We run business software called ProfitWindows on a terminal server,
used by 10 users simultaneously. We just upgraded the business software
to a new version. Now, the terminal server is very slow.

Using perfmon, I've found that there are extremely high page faults/sec
- an average of 11000. The average cpu usage is 10%. Avg. Disk Queue
not not a problem, nor is there a problem with available memory.

Any ideas of what I can do to improve this system's performance?

I would carfully look at your AntiVirus solution. More often than not,
it is the On-Access scanning that slows things down. As a test (If you
have anti-virus - I am guessing here) disable it, and see what type of
performance you get.

If it is the anti-virus you may need to tweak it to not on-access scan
files that are heavily used by your program, and have it just do a full
system scan at night
