telnet suddenly dies

I have client pcs connected to my application server through telnet, but
from some time now the telnet sessions suddenly die, not all together,
but closely each other (a session dies, 10 minutes after another session
dies, 5 minutes after another...).It seems to me that the order of
session closing is random.
If I inspect /var/log/messages, I find

Feb 1 15:10:12 main telnetd[2396]: ttloop: peer died: EOF

at the time a session has closed.
I'm inspecting network traffic to/from the server, but I still haven't
found something useful.

Can someone help me?

Thank you in advance.

Roberto

Hello,
Its not an answer to your query.

But I would suggest you use SSH instead of TELNET.
