I have a VPN server which works inside the network but outside it does not.

My firewall people swear that all external access is OK, but when I 'telnet
vpn....1723' from home I get 'connection failed', shoud i get a telnet
conection if the vpn server is accessible through the firewall but RRAS is
not setup correctly?

thanks 4 any reply.

No, but you can try to use one of computers to telnet port 1723 to make sure the RRAS is ready for the connection. Or even establish the VPN internally.

Thanks Robert, both the VPN server and the telnet 1723 works fine inside the
network. What does this indicate?
