Telnet Server and Client

Hi,

I like to deinstall Telnet service but I still want to telnet to a
other host.

How must I do that?

I have Debian Woody

I think is could be done with this command
But is then my Telnet client part gone to ??

dpkg --purge telnet

Or is there an other way to close the Telnet Service and still
telneting to other hosts ?

I want this for security reasen

Not real good with packages but I'd try dpkg --purge telnetd.

The server and client are independent of each other.
