Does anyone know how to switch the Explorer 4000DVB STB from 16:9 to
4:3? I can't find the option anywhere!

An example of the confusion caused by Telewest's misleading use of the
word "broadband" in it's marketing.

The word "broadband" is most commonly used to describe a high speed
internet connection. Telewest have used the word for marketing hype.

I think he is trying to point out (in a rather indirect way) that this is a
group for discussing Broadband - not Digital TV etc.

I might suggest you repost the question into uk.tech.digital-tv which would
be a more appropriate group.

Even that definition was created by marketing hype. Prior to that
Broadband described the mechanism by which signals are carried in
contrast to Baseband. It did not mean high speed, as Ethernet is a
baseband technology but is faster than xDSL broadband. It was only
when the marketing people 'adopted' the term that came to mean either
high speed or an Internet connection.
