Hi all,

living in Birmingham, using TW basic/starter package for

1) Talk unlimited,
2) starter cable TV package
3) basic 128Kb Broadband (upgraded from "SurfUnlimited" Dec 2004)

All of this is costing c.42 ukp/month.

I now see they have adverts up for new customers - all the above for 30
ukp/month ....

Is there a known way to get them to offer the same deal to exisiting
customers ? Or is this poster hiding a small print of "for 1st 3 monthes
...." ?

Thanks in advance

From experience with Telewest, they don't care less about the 'existing'
customers that they have, once they're signed up for the 12 month
contract etc...

That deal is to entice new people to sign up.
It probably is 'for first 3 months'

BT line, £10.50/month. 1899, free. Wanadoo 1Mb/s broadband,
£17.99/month. Freeview, free (or get rid of the Idiot's Lantern
completely and save a further £121 a year). £28.49/month in total.

Quite frankly, they'd have to pay me £30/month to take their service.

Cancel the service and wait until they offer you the £30/month deal, I
expect.

Have you checked the "3 for £30" package on their website? If so, then you
will notice the bundle consists of the "Talk Weekends" and not the Talk
Unlimited as you currently have.
Choosing what you currently have on their website as a new customer gives:

256k internet = £17.99
TV Starter pack/Phone Line and Talk Unlimited = £25.50

Total = £43.49

Its the Talk Unlimited extra that is increasing your bill.
