Customer's have bin sent yet another mass SPAM marketing email, titled
"Spring is here"
Promises of removing those who are on the list, and have requested
numerous times to be removed from, are still being ignored by those in
charge of the SPAMming campaigns at Telewest/blueyonder.
Even the 'unsubscribe/opt out' link in the offending SPAM "fs2.emv2.com"
doesn't resolve.
How can a company be allowed to consistantly SPAM it's user base, and
totally ignore the 'opt out' list it holds?

I think an official apology to all it's customers, with real assurances
of this never happenin again, are called for... with the assurance that
appropriate action has bin taken against the SPAM/marketin manager.

If you've proof of having opted out, then report them to the direct
marketing people, and trading standards. Make sure you have properly
opted out tho, and given them 30 days.

Opt out lists are generally optional (there's no law against sending
marketing material, merely a self-regulated agreement), and typically
people can't opt out to some info anywy, since otherwise you'd never
get informed about service alterations etc.

<yawn>

For someone who was banned by Telewest, you have quite a fixation with their
ongoing business.

Thanks for updating my killfile.

I'm not with them, but I know a few who are, and have opted out on
numerous occasions, over a period of months and even years.
They've opted out either by the 'opt out' link, or from postin the
request in the 'blueyonder.feedback' group, where the complaints are
made everytime it happens.
The users details are passed on to marketing, and then supposedly taken
off any future SPAM marketing emails in the future.
The requests are obviously ignored, and you receive the next load of
SPAM they decide to send out.

When I was with blueyonder, you cud opt out of all marketin material via
a webform.
You couldn't opt out of 'service alterations'
For you to be able to opt out in the first place of all their SPAM
marketin material, but still receive it after optin out on numerous
occasions is a disgrace.
It's blatantly obvious that they are ignorin the opt out list they
provide, and hold.

No matter how many times you try and make a point of me bein 'banned'
it's not workin.
It's not a fixation, it's an interest.
