Telephpone extensions don't work

Hello

I installed broadband at a friend's house.

She had three telephone extensions all of which were working.

The one where we put her computer and modem works fine, but the other two
are now dead (no dialing tone and don't ring)

I suspect this is a hardware problem (phone wires) in the house.

Any ideas what can cause this please?
