TCPIP properties button becomes disabled(grayed out)

Hi
Need help....
Is anyone familiar with a problem when in the Network and Dialup Connections properties dialogue box the TCPIP properties button becomes disabled(grayed out)? Is this a result of a corrupt registry parameter for TCPIP

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
