TCP/IP- Win 98

I have two computers in a lab that will not access the
internet or print via IP. I have uninstalled the Novell
client and the IP protocol then reinstalled. I can ping an
IP address. I have not tried to ping an internet address.
When I run winipcfg I can release and renew the IP address.
When I have this trouble with Win95 I can restore the
winsock and it runs fine but I am not sure what to do on a
Win 98 machine. We are running Novell 5 server and DHCP.
