I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard edition off-site and today when I
checked it the C drive was almost full so I deleted the i386 files and empty
my Undelete recovery bin which gave me 7 gigs free. I think I am good so I
wanted to reboot the server. This server is a DC and runs DFSR. After the
server came back up, I could not remotely get to it. I called one of my
techs at the site and did some troubleshooting, however, could not get it to
work. I un-installed the NIC, re-installed, changed IP address, ping
127.0.0.1 and got a response, un-installed MS Networking and TCP/IP for the
NIC and re-installed and nothing.
I am asking if there is anything else I missed. The only thing I really did
not check is the services to see if any were stopped that were suppose to be
started. When I ping the Gateway I get Destination Host Unreachable,
however, the card stats are sending and receiving packets.
Thanks for the help,
Josh
