If it is working, no. However, it is possible to royally screw up a
working connection by tweaking just one of the myriad wireless
parameters. Having said that, the only recommendations that I have for
a working wireless connection is to invoke infrastructure mode,WEP with
a user SSID, user passphrase and encryption keys, and disable SSID
broadcast. When that works, look at changing your router default
administrator name and password, and filter the MAC addresses to those
on the network. [You might also, as a very first step, change the
default IP block to from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.Y.x, just to make it a
little more difficult for the script kiddies.]
Whatever you do, do only one step at a time, and make a few notes on
what changes were made so changes can be undone. Maybe undone.
Possibly.
