Hi..
I have a bit of a problem. A web server running on linux. The clients
communicating via web services.
Two of the client systems are extremely slow, but it is intermittent.
i.e. the communication takes either 20 seconds, or 2 hours. All other
clients are ok.

I want to monitor the TCP packets (underneath soap) on the server side
to see whether the connection is delayed or whether the data is moving
in slowly. The equivalent of TCP Tunnel for Windows would work, but I
am not sure what to use for Linux. Somethingg easy to set up on the
server side. Any ideas??

tks

I use tcpdump for this - it should come as standard with most distros.

Ethereal. It's a Open Source protocol analyser. Excellent for
that kind of job.
