I had configured TCP/IP filtering to allow all UDP and IP ports and to block
all TCP ports, on windows xp. Nevertheless, I am able to bring up web page.
Doesn't http use TCP? I am not sure what is going on here.

Thanks in advance

Do you want to block outgoing or incoming? TCP/IP Faltering blocks incoming
only.

So, if one wanted to block outgoing, how could that be done? Not with TCP/IP
Filtering then, I take it? Windows Firewall only? If that's the case (using
Windows Firewall to block all outgoing http requests) what about Win2K that
doesn't have a built-in firewall?

Thanks Robert!

Jim

You may want to search for a 3rd party software. Also Vista firewall with
Advanced security can block outgoing traffic.
